Hey Guys! So I don't know about where you live, but there's been some pretty wonky weather out here in DC. In the last two weeks it has been both 30F and 70F. I mean, what?! Well, as the weather warms up- I thought I'd share with you how to style crop tops for those warmer days!
Look One: Sporty Spice
Whether you are a sports fan or not, layering a vintage jersey over top of a ribbed crop is a winning look. This jersey is my dad's, and funny enough we aren't even Royals fans! (If you were wondering, the Cubbies are my team!)
An oversized jersey can be quite masculine, especially with slouchy boyfriend jeans. In order to balance it out, throw on some comfy, casual heels! Add a chunky gold chain and you are rocking a Kylie Jenner inspired outfit.
I would personally style this with a bold, red lip or, if you wanted to have more of a Kylie look, go for a nude pout and a smokey eye.
Look Two: The 90's Called...
I know what you are thinkin'- where in the WORLD did I find this throwback? When I was searching around my local thrift shop, I found this 90's piece of goodness.
While this piece isn't traditional, it's a fun crop top to have when you are goofing off in the summer. Personally, paring it with ripped cutoffs was a no brainer for me. It screams 1990 and I adore it.
To "tomboy" it up, unlike the last outfit, Keds were in order. They are casual, comfy and cute! While I don't own one, a black bucket bag would be a fabulous addition to this outfit. I don't know about you, but this is one of my favorite "walking around the city" outfits for the summer.
Look Three: Spring Fever
As always, I try to give a more "dressed up" look in every styling post and this one I particularly love. The periwinkle crop is oversized, yet still perfectly structured. If paired with a bodycon midi, it creates the best "sexy date night" look.
As my favorite heeled sandals are black, balancing out the colored top is a must for me. The colored necklace and turquoise clutch add color to the black dominated outfit.
The clutch is especially helpful to the balance of this look as it brings color down past your waist while you hold it.
I've put in some links for you guys to shop around at some of my favorite pieces. While they all aren't the exact same as I have posted here, they are similar and just as great!
Now, go shop! And send some sun my way!
Until Next Time,
Emily
