21 Never Looked so Good.

11,044,800 minutes. 7,670 days. 1,095 weeks.

  21 years.

Time flies.

 I turned 21 this month and I thought it would be fun to share what I wore for my day of drinking birth. (;

(Jeans: Gap; Sweater: Banana Republic; Purse: Vera Bradley; Shoes: Nine West)
On special days I tend to go for staple outfits. Mainly because I know I will like the outfit and more importantly, feel GOOD in it. However on occasions like this, I usually throw on a statement necklace or, in this case, a bright red lip to stand out.

(Lipstick: Nars in Cruella; Bracelet: similar here; Ring: similar here)
The lipstick was received from Sephora as a "free birthday gift." You know, the one you get from the VIB membership that could be really iffy?

 Let me just say: Best. Lipstick. Ever.

I was hesitant to wear it at first as I'm pretty particular about my red shades. Reds with an orange undertone do not suit me, and I personally dislike a glossy red. It's creamy, non drying (while being matte) and extremely pigmented. The red will flatter any skin type as the undertones are pretty neutral.

(Coat: Phard)
As for my outfit, like I said, I kept it pretty staple and somewhat monochrome. The jeans are my usual from Gap- seriously if you haven't tried these on yet, what's your problem? Go now!
The knitted sweater is from Banana Republic and it is the perfect relaxed, yet structured, sweater. It was chic enough to go get drinks at an urban bar - which I did later that night- but relaxed enough for daytime wear.

The amazing wool jacket was given to me from a mother whom I know from nannying. She was kind enough to give it away without any charge! It is from an Italian company named Phard and man, am I in love. It has a slight menswear feel with out being overbearing.

Overall, my birthday was an amazing day filled with family and loved ones. Here's to another year older!

Would you guys like to see a behind the scene's look at my birthday? Let me know!

Until next time,

Emily.
